Abstract The goal of the retrofit at Zamrud substation is to transform a 28 MVA power transformer’s neutral point grounding system from direct using 20 Ohm Neutral Grounding Resistor (NGR). amount short-circuit current produced will fluctuate with installation NGR. It necessary re-setting Ground Fault Relay (GFR) on substation. To estimate value after installing NGR, impedance matrix approach used calculate it. According results, LG’s largest 397.83 A and its smallest 313.55 A. Meanwhile LLG has maximum 5.334.30 minimum 943.31 Therefore, NGR installation, relay setting as follows: GFR pickup transformer 234.29 A, feeder 1 19.96 2 30.42 3 38.40
